V902 Mon is a cataclysmic variable star of the intermediate polar type, located in the constellation Monoceros. The system contains a moderately magnetic white dwarf and a donor star transferring mass. The accretion flow occurs via a disk, but closer to the white dwarf, matter is magnetically channeled onto its poles. V902 Mon shows flickering, periodic brightness variations, and eclipses, which allow astronomers to model the system's structure. The white dwarf’s spin period is about 220 seconds, while the orbital period is approximately 8.16 hours, making it one of the few eclipsing intermediate polars known.
